Cavities are a condition of permanent tooth decay. Starting from the erosion of the surface or the outer part of the tooth which gradually forms a hole to the inside of the tooth. Cavities, also known as tooth decay or caries, are caused by various factors, including oral bacteria, frequent snacking, sipping sugary drinks, and being lazy to brush your teeth. Instead of experiencing it already, it's better to know how to prevent and treat cavities.

Cavities are one of the most common health problems experienced by anyone, from children, adolescents, to adults and the elderly. If cavities are not treated immediately, the holes will enlarge, blacken, and touch the nerves.

If cavities are left unchecked, over time it can cause severe toothache, infection, and the risk of being pulled out. Signs and symptoms of cavities actually vary, depending on the condition and location of the teeth. When a tooth has just worn away and formed a new cavity, you may not experience any symptoms at all. The greater the decay, the greater the symptoms that can be felt. Among other things, the tooth hurts for no apparent reason or when biting; sensitive teeth; mild to severe pain when eating or drinking something sweet, hot or cold; there are holes in the teeth; teeth turn brown or black Cavities do not have to be removed if according to the doctor they can still be saved with a filling procedure.
